Dear Members and Friends,
Review of AAS Activities in 2010
For the whole of 2010, AAS had organised close to 20 events and published 3 issues of e-Newsletter and a commemorative book, making this the most active and busiest year in its 55 years of history. This was only possible because of Mr Loh Hoon Sun’s strong leadership as AAS President and the dedication of his hardworking team of volunteer Management Committee members whose names are reflected on the sidebar. Collectively, they have successfully organised the following activities.
Two thousand and ten (2010) was a memorable year as Dr Tony Tan became our first-ever local Patron. A double first was created when Dr Tony Tan received the first-ever Distinguished Australian Alumnus Award given by AAS, at the 55th Anniversary Gala Dinner on 6 November 2010. Another significant milestone was the signing of the Collaboration Agreement between AAS and the Singapore Manufacturers’ Association (SMa). With this collaboration, AAS not only has a permanent premise to operate from but can look forward to greater membership growth and more business networking opportunities and activities for its members.
AAS would not have accomplished all these without you, our loyal members, supporters and friends. We thank you sincerely and look forward to your continued support in the coming year.
AAS President & Management Committee Members wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy 2011
